Just 3 hours from New York City and Philadelphia. Pleasant View Bed & Breakfast is a turn of the century Victorian nestled in the woodlands of Northeast PA. Our atmosphere is refreshing and comfortable, combined with a touch of warmth and friendliness.
At Pleasant View Bed & Breakfast our number one priority is making our guests comfortable, and there’s nothing better than starting the morning with a full country breakfast featuring homemade specialties.
The Inn has 5 guest rooms. Each room is tastefully decorated in the colors to match their names: Rose, Iris, Daisy, Wildflower and Mt. Laurel. Three rooms have queen beds and the others have full beds. Three rooms have private bath.
Our guests can enjoy the spectacular view from the front porch or take a stroll through our 4.5 acres. In season there are apples for picking as well as blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. Don’t be surprised if some of the fresh fruit ends up in your morning pancakes or waffles or just on your plate.
Skiing is available at Elk Mountain and Mt. Tone, both just 10 miles from the Inn. Cross-country trails, snow mobile trails, snow tubing, fishing and hunting are nearby. Stroll, bike or hike through the miles of woods, lazy river raft on the Delaware River or go antiquing in near by towns. Golf on one of the many 18 hole golf courses. Travel back in time on the “Stourbrige Lion” an authentic steam locomotive in Honesdale. The Wayne County fair and the Fall Festival at Elk Mountain are events you don’t want to miss.
When your day is done, come back home and enjoy some of our afternoon “goodies”. Our homemade cookies and brownies are our specialty. Mingle with the other guests by the wood stove, or relax in our beautifully decorated living room or watch a movie in our “Gathering” room, play ping pong, horseshoes, basketball and any of the other activities we offer.
